    Ongoing Research

Socrates is currently being used in several research studies to help us continue to improve and innovate AI for mental health care.

How Socrates Works

Socrates is driven by multi-AI agents, including an AI therapist, supervisor, and assessor, essentially mimicking an entire treatment team. The user only interacts with the AI therapist, while it is supported in real time by the supervisor and assessor behind the scenes.

This creates a seamless experience for the user while ensuring high-quality Socratic dialogue is provided to help change unhelpful ways of thinking.

Feedback from Patients

I feel like I can tell Socrates things I wouldn’t tell to my actual therapist. I like that I feel anonymous and it’s non-judgemental.
This is way more engaging than the worksheets I had to do in therapy.

Feedback from Clinicians

I like that it is always available. Day and night, it never sleeps. This could help my clients get meaningful help between sessions.
I used Socrates pretending I was a client of mine and it provided me with excellent ideas for the types of questions I could ask in session.
